Sinborn in a casual nutshell.

Sinborn, a race originally designed to be another sexy-demon variant, is now an entirely different form of pseudo-humanoid. The Sinborn are change incarnate, but do not shift and warp with fantastic haste. Instead, Sinborn undergo slow metamorphic advances according to what they desire to be. Sinborn also have a choice in their changes, but due to their passionate and unkempt natures, frequently choose a path that isn't entirely wise. The race is designed to fill in the gap of a customizable race without being shamelessly fantastic.

There are two kinds of Sinborn, those that come from a Sinborn copulation and those that are 'infected'. Because Sinborn are essentially modified humanoids, the state of the race can be transmitted to willing participants. The Sinborn state is a modification of the internal organs with abilities to connect one's will with its own body. A fantastic synergy exists between the Sinborn's form and its mind, allow it to express itself in various different ways. Although Sinborn do not have a sixth sense, they can utilize the basic five to a much greater extent than a normal human can, not to mention feel more as well.

Sinborn appear humanoid in general cases, but inside, they're stores of malleable goo that shape into organs that allow mimicry of other beings. Sinborn anatomy is not unique in its own construction, but rather in its ability to link several foreign parts together to form a working being. Sinborn simplify things biologically, connecting various parts without the complications of internal incompatibility. The internal machinations of a Sinborn are also very efficient in breaking down and storing sustenance, but only to feed the monstrous voracity required to have such a structure.

All Sinborn are naturally bipedal, but have the potential to change that state. However, Sinborn cannot permanently divert from their natural color scheme, nor can they become a creature that fully resembles a non-human. A Sinborn will adopt a state that is about seventy-five percent monstrous, but will never progress farther than that. As a result, Sinborn that have twisted themselves by their own desire will remain in a state of intermediate grotesqueness. In theory, a Sinborn can become infinitely large. However, in any situation, the amount of income, sustenance and space directly influence the size and complexity of a Sinborn's potential state. Also, Sinborn cannot shrink beyond their state set by adulthood, which usually occurs five years post conception. For example, a Sinborn, who has altered itself into a bear-sized creature wants to shrink down to halfling-height, cannot revert to the lesser build because it was originally standard human size. The exception to the change ruling are druids or magical manipulation, but such changes are made through learned or external forces, which are different than the natural Sinborn morphing property.

The race is twinsex, capable of both genders. Most Sinborn opt for a single gender per cycle, which varies from each individual, but one may opt for a purely dual gender at the cost of more nutrition to upkeep the state. A Sinborn that is famished cannot develop the twin sex due to that restriction. As a result of a dual sexual nature, Sinborn frequently find themselves looking beyond common forms of sexuality and into the bizarre and unorthodox.

However, such a race is burdened with curses from their own blessings. Sinbore are naturally sensitive physically and emotionally and do not have the greatest of coping skills. Having a connection between body and mind translates into a partnership with mood and physical function, something that humans are spared of. Also, because each Sinborn is essentially unique due to their own desires, common resurrection incantations do not work as well. The restoration of a Sinborn is a painful process unless healed by its own forms. External forms of healing, although just as effective, can cause severe distress to the recipient. Because of this, Sinborn are generally viewed as forsaken or cursed among certain clerical organizations. On rare occations, clerics might use evil spells to attempt to heal a Sinborn, only to realize that they killed the creature.

A common misconception among the general townsfolk about Sinborn is that they are all beautiful. In truth, they aren't. Instead, they choose to be beautiful in their own perspective, which happens to coincide with the area around them. Sinborn are social creatures by nature, able to camouflage themselves with the most acceptable body type if they so desire. However, it is an active choice of the individual, not a natural trait.

The Sinborn allow the imagination to run wild, but also keep enough restrictions to retain a credible and challenging experience for the casual roleplayer. More in-depth information is to come, don't worry. There's plenty of reason behind the conception within its own fantasy domain. The Sinborn have purpose, just like every race should have.
